Wind River Tobacco – QA / QC Manager



Wind River Tobacco Company, located near Wilson NC, is recruiting an experienced QA / QC Manager for its cigarette and RYO manufacturing operations. This new factory is equipped with state-of-the-art high-speed making and packing machinery to produce cigarettes for domestc and export of the highest quality. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced QA / QC individual to contribute to the success of a growing business right from the beginning.


Our QA / QC Manager will be the first full-time employee in the Quality department. As a result, you will initially be working directly alongside manufacturing personnel to introduce work instructions, provide training and support at every level of manufacturing. We are seeking an active hands-on QA / QC Manager who will spend time in cigarette manufacturing to insure quality is #1.


As the business develops, your role will evolve to Manage the entire scope of a fully functional Quality department with key responsibilities for assuring all aspects of manufacturing quality.


As you will be working closely with your production colleagues, team-fit is crucial. In addition you must also possess the ability to work alone and have excellent communication skills as you will interact with personnel, vendors and customers at all levels.


Prior Quality-related work experience with a cigarette manufacturer is a pre-requisite. International experience and / or experience with international quality standards and customers is highly desirable. You will most likely have direct experience in QC at the mid or upper level with a large cigarette manufacturer.  Your experience will most likely include a detailed understanding of the raw materials and all aspects of manufacturing from incoming materials to customer delivery.
